The festival competition will be held in two parts :
1- Iranian Cinema 2- International Competition
The Iranian Cinema consists of the following sections:
Lotus – Special Section - New Vision – Parvin Etesami
Golden Lotus : For women filmmakers to send films with free subjects and men filmmakers to send films with the subjects about "women"
Silver Lotus: The women filmmakers who are active in "profesional fields in cinema".
The Special section: Consisit of films with the subject of "Iranian and Islamic mothers" and the "Islamic women role in stabilization of family foundation"
New Vision: Consist of films with the subject of "Iranian famous women" in the field of culture, arts, sience, researches, literature, religion, sports and the Iranian holly defence (war) legends.
The Parvin Etesami section: Will be consisting of films, screenplays and articles with the subjects regarding to "Hejab" in the Parvin Etesami's poetrie (Direct or indirect adaptation).
The International Competition:
All films (made by men or women) should participate in this competition with the subject of "women".
The Festival Regulations:
All Iranian women and men filmmakers can participate in the Special, New Vision, Parvin Etesami and the International competitions of the festival.
All the Fiction, Documentary, Animation and Experimental films which have not been delivered to the festival office since January 2009 can participate in the Golden and Silver Lotus competitions of the festival.
All the fiction and documentary films which have been produced since 1991 can participate in the "Special Section" of the festival.
All the fiction, documentary, video arts and clips which have been produced since 1991 can participate in "New Vision" part of the festival.
All fiction, documentary, experimental and animations which have been produced since 2000 can participate in the "International Competition" of the festival.
The maximum running time of all fiction, documentary, animation and experimental films in all parts of the festival should be up to 45 minutes.
The format of the films for all parts of the festival in both Iranian cinema and the International competitions can be miniDV, DV, DVcam, HDcam, Betacam, 16mm, 35mm, and HD.
Festival Awards:
Festival awards in all parts will be consist of Trophies, Diploma of Honor and the Cash prizes.

Golden Lotus trophy, diploma of honor and cash prize to the Best Fiction Film.
Golden Lotus trophy, diploma of honor and cash prize to the Best Documentary, will be granted by The "Experimental and Documentary Cinema Developing Center".
Golden Lotus trophy, diploma of honor and cash prize to the Best Experimental film, will be granted by The "Experimental and Documentary Cinema Developing Center".
Golden Lotus trophy, diploma of honor and cash prize to the Best Animation.
Golden Lotus trophy, diploma of honor and cash prize to the Best Film.
Golden Lotus trophy, diploma of honor and cash prize as the Special Jury Award to the Best Selected Film.
Golden Lotus trophy, diploma of honor and cash prize to the Best Screenplay.

The "Silver Lotus" Awards:

The "Best Film Title" Award:
The Parvin Golden Trophy, diploma of Honor and Cash Prize to the Best Title of the film which has the most meaningful expression of the theme and structure (form) of the film.
The "International Competition" Awards:
The Parvin Golden Trophy, diploma of Honor and Cash Prize to the Best Fiction Film.
The Parvin Golden Trophy, diploma of Honor and Cash Prize to the Best Documentary.
The Parvin Golden Trophy, diploma of Honor and Cash Prize to the Best Experimental Film.

The Festival Common Rules:
Participating in the festival by all private and public (governmental) sections and filmmakers is free and permitted.
To participate in the festival it is necessary to fill out the Entry Form and send them to the festival office along with two preview DVD or VOB copies of the film, 2 still photos of the film scenes (JPG 13-18 with 300 DPI ) on a CD, and a personal photo of the director.
To participate in any parts of the festival it is necessary to fill out different Entry Forms for each film.
It is necessary to write and send only one film on each preview DVD.
It is necessary for any private or public sections who have more than one film to deliver to the festival competitions, to write and send only one film on each preview DVD according to the type of the films (Fiction, Documentary, Animation, Experimental). Otherwise a preview DVD consisting more than one film will not be considered to be participated in the festival.
Please DO NOT send more than one film on each DVD.
It is highly requested to write all film information consisting of: film title, full name of the director, time duration and the type of the film on each DVD.
Any insufficiency of delivered documents for any films will result not considering the related film in the preview process by the festival.
The festival office will not send back any preview DVDs to the participants.
All the festival awards will be granted only to the directors of the films.
Any prizes with the same values will not be granted to more than one films.
Any films which have produced by more than one director, will be granted the awawrds only to one of the directors of the film.
Any delivered films with understandard qualities will not be considered to participate in the competitions of the festival.
After announcing the selected films to participate in the competition by the festival office, a mimiDV format of the announced films should be sent to the festival office at most in 48 hours. Otherwise any of the selected films which have not been sent on miniDV in the requested time, will be eliminated from the competition.
The festival office will not be responsible for any harms for the films resulting by bad transportation or miscarriage the films by post or any carriers.
Any films which have been selected to participate in the festival competition can not get out of the program after the official announcement.
Making any decission about any unpredicted matters which have not been considered in the festival regulations will be made only by the festival manager.
Signing the festival Entry Form means accepting the festival regulations by the participants.
All Entry Forms should be signed and stamped by the producer organization.
